40,000-page watch (February 3, 2022)

I’m edging ever closer to my next milestone, 40,000 pages

Today starts with a total of 38,830 pages, that leaves 1,170 pages to reach, a very obtainable goal for this week’s reading.

Fortunately, we woke up to a little bit of snow, and that means that it’s a day to stay under the cover, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and of course some long reading sessions. I have some interesting things to read, Shaman King Vol. 1,Attack on Titan Vol. 2, and Bloodborne Vol.1, all of them from my Kindle Unlimited subscription. Also, I’ll try to make some headway with Reyes de la tierra salvaje, currently on page 202 of 528.

For my daily on-going challenge, one short story a day, I just finished reading today’s entry from The Crow: Shattered Lives & Broken Dreams, a poem, Joy Divided by Douglas E. Winter, and Triad by Janny Wurts, marking a 27 day streak.

Off to read.

Still breathing… the really cold air

After a very interesting week, from power outages due to a massive winter storm, all of Monday we where without power, to the first, and probably the only snowy day of all this winter, I am glad that it’s finally going back to normal.

The only cool thing was that my wife read to all of us, me and my 9 and 6 year old, Harry Potter and the Sorcerors Stone, and of course watching snow is always a pleasant sight.

Hopefully, my reading will follow suit, and gets back on track, because as this days passed, it’s ice cold.

For now, I am off to read

(Y-11) Winter is here (Day 29 of 31)

Yesterday’s reading was spectacular, my total was 344 pages, officially makes it the best of all this season of reading.

This was thanks to my insomnia and that I put it to good use and finished a couple of volumes of the Valiant comics universe, this time it was the second volume of Harbinger, Renegades, and the second volume of Bloodshot, The Rise and the Fall.

These volumes where just build-up for the first major event of this fantastic universe, The Harbinger Wars, written by the authors responsible for the two series mentioned above, Joshua Dysart and Duane Swierczynski, it looks promising.

Thanks to this my new total for the year is 8,377 pages, and I am behind 21 days behind schedule, as I was saying little by little the gap is closing down.

On the book front, again I had a dreadful day, only 9 pages and I am currently on page 110.

But seeing the forecast for today.

And the fact that it is snowing lightly.

It is the perfect opportunity to stay in bed reading, have one cup or ten of coffee and make some headway with my book.

It finally feels like winter.

Happy Readings!!!
