Happy 54th Birthday to Eddie Vedder

It is no secret that my favorite band is Pearl Jam.

And today marks the 54th birthday of singer Eddie Vedder, a force of nature and one of the voices that accompanied me throughout all of the angst-filled days of my youth.

So, today in honor of Mr. Vedder, I’ll crack up my turntable and enjoy a Pearl Jam full day.

Thank you for all the music and for being a true champion for making this a better world.

(Y-10) improving my grooves

Yesterday I received a really early birthday, of course at the hands of my beautiful wife.

A Crosley T100 turntable.

Truly a thing of beauty and with an amazing sound. I have already taken it for its first spin. Non other than Pearl Jam to do the honors.

On the reading front I’m glad to inform that two more graphic novels are under my belt, Saga Vol. 5 and Vol.6, a must for any comic book enthusiast. Also just started reading the second volume of the amazing adventures of Lady Mechanika.

I’m aiming high for the end of the month, at least reach 20,000 total pages for the year and maybe 3 novels finished of the Legend of Drizzt saga.

Things to do, Books to read, records to play and a whole lot of gardening to be done by the weekend.

Back to it then.

Happy Readings!!!

(Y-10) On my last leg…for today

I’m shutting for the day, it was a good day for my reading, not quite where I wanted to close the day, but none the less, a good day.

I leave the day, of course for the current book, on page 87 of 348.

Tomorrow will be a hectic day but on Thursday the voyage begins, and lots of reading with astounding views.

For the last stretch, I will have the sonic assistance of Pearl Jam in the form of their sophomore release VS.

Getting back to my total page count for the year, I finally had a chance to update my reading logs, and I’m glad to inform a 12,684 page total.

Still a lot of work ahead, but, as always, highly motivated.

Now back to reading, to close this day out with at least 100 pages of progress.
