(Y-12) Quarantined days, Update 24

I had a slow couple of days, yesterday I had a total of 93 pages.

With this I still have 9,110 pages to reach my coveted goal of 50,000 pages.

Need to step it up.

Tomorrow, I’ll be updating my digital records to see how close I am to this year’s goal of 41,665 pages, and also to update my projected dates for reaching 500,000 and 1,000,000 pages.

For now, I am off to read.

(Y-10) 24 days… snail pace

My progress with The Wise Man’s Fear has been really slow.

Currently, I am in page 578, that is 422 pages to go and 3 days to do it.

Well at least I have some positive progress on my page total (pending update), all of this to a couple of comics.

Firstly this nerve racking new story of the dreadful xenomorfs.

Really skillfully done by writer/artist James Stokoe, highly recommended for all Aliens Fans.

And second series I will dive into is Gravel by Warren Ellis, not a recent series but one I have been meaning to read for a long while.

I’ll try to make some headway with my book, as far as my eyes hold up.

(Y-10) 40 days…tick tock goes the clock

Every time I am edging closer to the zero-hour.

Right now I have a shit load of assignments, and my procrastinating ass has not worked on my daily planner to squeeze some reading time.

So, with that in mind, I have 5,842 pages to reach my goal and 40 days to do it.

That is 147 pages per day.

On my daily planner, I will have to keep track on my progress and try to hit the minimal daily progress each and every day.

My will is there.

I am walking a very fine line, any false movement will throw me off, the plot thickens.

The menu for today: The Wise Man’s Fear (starting on page 348) and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina Time (beginning on page 34)

Onward then, into the unknown.

(Y-10) 61 days… finding my zen

The hardest part, in my experience, is finding balance.

In my case, I am trying to find the balance between my beloved personal project and my beloved life.

So, in the spirit of my crazy ideas planning mind, I came to the conclusion that an exhaustive planned agenda is in order.

I will use both a conventional weekly planner and my trustworthy bullet journal to plan the shit out of my day and try to fulfill my reading goals without sacrificing the rest of my life.

I have some work ahead of me.

I’ll keep you posted.

(Y-10) 66 days…zero

For the first time in more than 100 day I logged a day with 0 pages.

It really affects my confidence with this time of days occur, but no point in crying over spilled milk.

Today I’ll break that curse and move forward with my plans.

Onward , to read.

(Y-10) 69 days… procrastination mode

Today takes the award for laziest day of all this tenth year of reading.

I read for little while in the morning, but nothing major.

I’ll probably squeeze about half hour of reading before I succumb to sleep.

On more positive news, my total has reach 26,452 pages.

A little over 1,500 pages to go on the next milestone of this year.

Well now back to reading, I think some Star Wars action will be great to close out this lazy sunday.

Happy Readings!!!

(Y-10) 79 days…lazy

I had one of those lazy ass days were you don’t focus on anything.

I didn’t watch any series or had a long reading session.

Just a lazy day.

Right now the urge to make some headway is starting to show itself.

Luckily for me, and with the help of a little caffeine, my insomnia kick in and not all the day is lost.

I currently at page 357 of The Name of the Wind and hopefully I will reach the 400 page mark before all this caffeine wears out.

Now back to reading.

(Y-10) 87 days… falling behind

Currently I am on page 267 of The Ghost King, the final book of the Transitions Trilogy of our badass friend Drizzt.

I have was is left of this night and all of tomorrow to finish up in order to be ready for my plans for the 24 in 48 readathon.

My plan is to kick off the weekend’s event reading a new book nd try to finish it over the course of the readathon.

Also, I plan to read a lot of graphic novels and comics.

I am still pending with my final reading schedule but my focus has been on finishing the book.

Hopefully by tomorrow’s post I will be done with the book and have the final layout of my weekend of reading.

For now I’ll get back to the drawing board and do some reading.

(Y-10) 88 days… any progress is good progress

Today I spent most of the day working on my little desert oasis.

Lots of dirty work with little progress, but I hope that in a couple of weeks it will be finally done, I’ll just have to keep it pristine.

I did a little reading, a little planning, and of course little progress on my book, so, for the rest of the night I plan to read a little more.

Back to it then.

(Y-10) 91 days… keep at it.

Today’s morning was dedicated to reading the fantastic work of Scott Snyder and legendary artist John Romita Jr. on All-Star Batman.

Also I did a lot of procrastinating, with a few moments of reading my current book.

I’ll close out the day with some graphic novel action, this time in the form of Lost at Sea by Bryan Lee O’Malley, author and illustrator famous for the Scott Pilgrim series.

Well now back to it.

Happy Readings!!!
